What Do I Treat?

Pain

Do you have pain that has popped up recently or has been there for years? Physical therapy can help! I have experience providing treatment of various pain dysfunctions originating in the neck, shoulder, elbow, mid/low back, hip, knee, ankle, and more.

During an evaluation I will ask questions to gain an understanding of how the pain is impacting you and walk you through various tests and motions that will help me understand your pain pattern,  find deficits such as weakness or range of motion limitations,  and ultimately make a plan of care that will help you manage your pain and potentially eliminate it completely.

Loss of Balance

Loss of balance can occur for various reasons. Whether you want to feel more confident reaching to the cabinet in the kitchen, walking up or down stairs, walking out doors, or want to reduce your risk of falling...physical therapy can help!

During an evaluation I will ask questions to gain an understanding of how the loss of balance is impacting you and walk you through various tests so I can understand your balance issues. This will help me make a plan of care that will help you improve your balance.

***I suggest that you have a family member or friend present to help you stay safe during this evaluation and treatments.

Stiffness

Have you been feeling less flexible lately? Maybe something happened recently or in the past and you simply have not been able to move your body the way you used to. Stiffness has various causes, but can often be treated very effectively with physical therapy!

During an evaluation I will ask questions to gain an understanding of how this lack of mobility is impacting you and walk you through various tests and motions that will help me understand your limitations and ultimately make a plan of care that will help you improve your mobility and flexibility!

Loss of Function

Function is going to be a part of any type of evaluation and treatment we perform! Other types of functional issues that may not have been mentioned already include: issues with walking, running, or sport performance. I even treat posture issues! If you have any questions about whether or not I treat the issue you have, please contact me!
